Obituary of John Roberto Duarte-Ortiz

John Roberto Duarte-Ortiz of Elizabeth, NJ passed on August 12, 2012, after suffering a cerebral aneurysm. He was born January 13, 1978 in Bogota, Colombia, the son of Fabio Duarte and Olga Ortiz. He attended Piscataway and South Plainfield schools and graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1998. He attended Restoration in Christ Church in Elizabeth. John Roberto is survived by his parents Fabio and Olga; his siblings Fernando, Joanne "Celly", Diane and Claudia. He also leaves behind his grandmothers Ana Duarte and Ana Sanchez. He is also survived by longtime friends Mario, Francois, Lewis, Harvey and several nephews, nieces, cousins and several aunts and uncles. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Higgins Home for Funerals in Plainfield, NJ. Viewing hours will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service prior to burial will commence at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and he will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ.
