Obituary of William Francis Wittreich
Warren: William Francis Wittreich, age 83 died on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at his home in Warren. He was born in Ridgewood, NY and had lived in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Warren in 1933. Prior to his retirement in 1997, Mr. Wittreich owned and operated William F. Wittreich Antiques in Warren for 34 years. He also did private appraisals and taught classes on antiques. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and studying early American History. Mr. Wittreich was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Wittreich is survived by his wife of 53 years, Olga Schemitsch Wittreich; his sons, David Wittreich and his wife Donna of Branchburg, NJ, Curtis Wittreich and his wife, Michelle of West Richland, WA ; his daughters, Lydia Labinsky and her husband, Kenneth of Bayville, NJ, Monica Lammi and her husband Daniel of Phillipsburg, NJ and his brother, Herbert Gebauer of Middlesex, NJ. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Monica, Tyler, Jaret and Karissa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:15 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel.
