Obituary of Alice D. Guild
Alice D. (Dugan) Guild, age 88, died on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Renaissance Gardens in Pompton Plains.
Born in Morristown she was a lifelong resident of Morris Plains, moving to Pompton Plains three and a half years ago.
Mrs. Guild began her career as a telephone information operator at AT&T in Morristown at the age of 18, retiring 45 years later. Alice thoroughly enjoyed her job.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was predeceased by her husband James P. Guild, Sr. in 1993; parents, Thomas and Alice (Dorn) Dugan and her brother Thomas Dugan.
Surviving are her son, James P. Guild, Jr. and his wife Carole of Branchville; her brothers, Robert Dugan and his wife Catherine of Branchville and Edward Dugan of Morris Plains; her two granddaughters, Maggie Guild and her husband Rob Roy of Morris Plains and Katie Edward and her husband Mike of Grahamsville, NY. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
