Obituary of Nicola Nunzio DeCarolis

Nicola DeCarolis, age 86, died on Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg PA. Born in Fontechiari Italy, Mr. DeCarolis moved to Newark in 1954, he resided in Kenilworth for many years and other various New Jersey Cities before moving to East Stroudsburg 12 years ago. Mr. DeCarolis was a mixing chemist for Bristol-Myers Squibb in Hillside for 26 years. He loved working on his vegetable garden and watching baseball and soccer but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister Elena Borgonsoli. Mr. DeCarolis is survived by his wife Eufrasia DeCarolis; his two sons Robert and his wife Lori of Colts Neck and Leo and his wife Joann of Rockaway; his brother Ezio DeCarolis; his sisters Pia Martino and Antoinette Messercola; four grandchildren Catherine, Anna, Christopher and Andrea. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March26, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A Funeral Mass will be held on 10 am on Wednesday at St. Mary's Stony Hill RC Church in Watchung followed by an entombment at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery in Watchung.
