I always enjoyed going to the Wohlman residence, the chance to spend a little time with Mr. Wohlman and hear one of his reflections on his life or a small pearl of well earned wisdom was priceless. He is surely missed. My sympathies to the Wohlman family.

To my aunt Julie and my cousins David and Irene, Your father (My Uncle) meant a lot me and our family. Whenever I left Calif to go back East while driving a semi back in the late 80's early 90's, Uncle Sonny as we called him was always so kind and such a joy and light to my life. His cooking was the greatest and he always loved to talk about our stories we made while visiting and out on the boat. I will truely miss him but I will also have memories that I'll hold dear forever!
God bless you guys!
Dan, Sheri, Ryan, Levi & Rachel.

Words can not describe how much Mr. Wohlman will be missed. Even though I hadn’t had the opportunity to see him often over the past few years, his words, guidance and strength of character ring clear as if we spoke everyday. Herb’s friendship helped me through some rough personal times in my younger years and I think it fair to say he has helped shape who I am today.
Herb, I owe you much. Thank you for all of the time you have spent with me through the years. Thank you for the memories I have of you and the stories that I know through you son David. Many of the life lessons I have learned from you I now pass on to my family. The world will definitely be a little smaller place without you.
I wish all of the Wohlman family much love, respect and condolences at this truly difficult time.

I did not know Mr Wohlmann personally but had the privilege of working with his daughter Irene for two years. She is a fine and accomplished young woman and he must have been very proud of her. From all I heard about Mr Wohlman during these last years, Irene has got her strength and fortitude from her father. I wish the family peace and send my condolences and warm wishes to all. I met Irene's Dad when i was in 7th grade with Irene and first went to her house in Scotch Plains. I remember Mr. Wohlman mostly sitting in a chair reading the newspaper. It seemed that he read the newspapers from cover to cover. He always had a kind smile and kind words for everyone, mostly Dave and Irene. I never heard Dave or Irene utter one word of negativity towards their Dad, as most teens will do. I never heard a harsh word from him. He seemed very quiet, but would offer words of wisdom whenever needed. The whole family even tried to teach me to snow-ski. That was pretty funny. He always had a smile for Mrs. Wohlman, I can remember that most of all. I have very fond memories of the Wohlman house and I am sure he will be greatly missed. Signed, Cyndi Urenovich

Mrs. Wohlman, Irene, and David,
I love you and am grieving for you and with you. I loved him like a father and I know he loved me for the "rotten kid" that I am. I will forever miss hearing those words spoken from him. My heart is broken. I always looked up to him and admired his honest thoughts shared between us. His guidance in life made me a better person. I loved the times I shared with him: teaching me how to make his "famous soups" tomato sauce and chopped liver. Thank you Mr. Wohlman for loving me exactly as I am. Love you always, Your rotten kid Jacquie XXX

Dear Julie, David and Irene,
Pleade accept our heartfelt condolences. He was quite a man, very proud of his service to our country. Michael will always remember how Herbie loved his gun collection and what good conversaions they had at the old lunch group. One of my fondest memories was when Herbie made his famous white clam sauce and we had the best dinner. He will be missed by so many of us.
