Obituary of James C. Sampson

James C. Sampson, age 68, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Long Branch, NJ and had lived in Little Silver before moving to Watchung in 1984. Mr. Sampson served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and manager of Twin Brooks Country Club in Watchung since January 1, 1978. Mr. Sampson enjoyed boating and loved Labrador Retrievers. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Piech Sampson; his son, David Sampson of Watchung; His daughter, Sarah Sampson of Watchung; his sisters, Elizabeth Benton of New Orleans, Annette Sims and Sarah Sampson, both of St. Petersburg, FL. Visiting will be held on Friday, May 31st from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rawhide Rescue, 16 Mt. Bethel Rd.
