Obituary of Betty Marshall

Betty Marshall, age 95, died on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at her home in Plainfield. She was born in Elizabeth and was a longtime Plainfield resident. Mrs. Marshall had a career in Real Estate and Advertising. A member of Temple Sholom in Fanwood, she was a longtime volunteer at Muhlenberg Hospital, an active member of Cedar Twig and was also very involved in organizing annual art shows in Plainfield. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of Twin Brooks Country Club. Mrs. Marshall is predeceased by her husband, David Marshall. She is survived by her children, Lois Fisher and Arthur Leary; her grandchildren, Peter Israel, Wendy Israel Jacobs and Alexandra Marshall Delman ; and her 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by interment at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin. Donations may be made in her honor to the Temple Sholom's new building fund, 74 S. Martine Ave,. Fanwood, NJ 07023 or to the charity of your choice.
