Obituary of Rose Ratner

Rose Ratner, age 96, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Father Hudson House, Center for Hope Hospice in Elizabeth. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived in Plainfield and has resided in Warren since 1947. Rose loved reading books and playing tennis and scrabble. She was very active in politics and had very strong views. Rose was very devoted to her family. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, David Ratner in 1994. Surviving are her son, Paul Ratner, and her daughter, Susan B. Carroccia and her husband, Enzo; and her three grandchildren, Lisa, Daniel and David Guido Carroccia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, Watchung. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
