Obituary of Dorothy Giannotti

Dorothy (Campolattano) Giannotti, age 87, died on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at her home in Plainfield. Born in Plainfield she was a lifelong resident. Dorothy was employed as a secretary for an Insurance Company in Plainfield for many years. Later, she worked as a salesperson for Bambergers, later Macy's in Plainfield.. She was a member of St. Bernard's Rosary Altar Society, served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of Catholic Daughters. In her spare time, Dorothy was a volunteer at the gift shop at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Dorothy loved taking care of her family, cooking and reading. Surviving is her loving husband of 66 years Louis J. Giannotti; her son Louis J. Giannotti, Jr. and his wife, Maria Bartolozzi, MD; daughters Mary Ann Williams and her partner, Carmen D'Argenio, Nancy Driscoll and her husband Kevin and Andrea McGarry and her husband, James; sisters, Vivian O'Neil, Jo Ann Dellaperute and Jean Ciampa; grandchildren, Stephen and Peter Williams, Lauren, Allison and Kaitlyn Madden and Matthew and Nicole Giannotti. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 9:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Bernard's & St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Interment iwill be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
