Obituary of Mary Wirth

Mary Capone Dell Bene Wirth, age 98, died on Monday May 14, 2012, at Raritan Health & Extended Care Center in Raritan. Born and raised in Scotch Plains, she resided in Plainfield before moving to Raritan in 2009. Mary was a caretaker, whose greatest passion was cooking. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, as well as her beloved pet birds. Predeceased by her sons Frank and Charles Dell Bene, her daughter-in-law Ann Dell Bene, her grandson Dennis O'Mara, and 6 siblings. Surviving is her sister Yolanda Bostinto; grandchildren Patricia, Susan, Louise, Nancy, MaryAnn, Joan, Theresa, Irene, and spouses; many great-grandchildren and gret-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Nancy; nieces and nephews Doris, Tom, Helen, Fred, Joan and Bill and her dear friend Gail. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will take place at 8:30 p.m. Cremation is private. In leiu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
