Obituary of Henry Francis McFarlin

Henry Francis McFarlin, age 76, died on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he had resided in North Plainfield for over fifty years. Henry was a graduate of Kent State University with a BS in Mathematics, he then attended Kean University and graduated with a dual Masters Degree in Education and Supervision. Henry spent thirty-seven years as a Math Teacher at Park Middle School in Scotch Plains, retiring in 1998. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and was a huge fan of the New York Yankees. Henry's biggest joy in life was spending time with his family. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Dorothy (Little) McFarlin and his sister Dorothy McCleary. Surviving is his loving wife Maureen Caulfield-McFarlin; his son David McFarlin and his partner Samantha of Forks Twp., PA; his daugther Robin Triano and her husband Joseph of Alexandria, NJ; his step-son Michael Kurze and his wife Angela; his step-daughter Suzanne Federici and her husband Thomas; his brothers James Tolley and his wife Mary and Robert J. McFarlin; grandchildren Jenna, Callie, Lillian, Thomas, Kevin, Sarah, Max and Adelaide and beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
