Obituary of Gloria B. Knowlden

Gloria B. Knowlden, a Mendham, NJ resident for over 40 years, passed away on May 28, 2015, a few month's shy of her 89th birthday, in Bridgewater, NJ. A Memorial Service was held for family and close friends on June 2nd at Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ. A photo montage celebrating her life can be found at www.higginsfuneralhome.com. Gloria, "Glo" or "Mummu" to some, was born September 3, 1926 in New York City to Sylvia and Rudolph Bush. The only child of Finnish and Estonian immigrants, she was a graduate of the Grasslands School of Practical Nursing, Valhalla, NY, and of St. Joseph's College, Standish, ME. Gloria worked for over 30 years as an office manager for two interior design firms, first Ward Sands & Co., Mendham, NJ, and subsequently Butler's of Far Hills, Far Hills, NJ. Gloria joins her husband and worldwide travel companion of 54 years, Norman F. Knowlden, who passed April 6, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Erik and Ethan, their spouses, Joy and Leanne, and by one grandson, Cole. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
