Obituary of Alfred Furino

Alfred Furino, age 74 died on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Born and raised in Plainfield, he had resided in South Plainfield before moving to Manahawkin nineteen years ago. Alfred worked as a general contractor for his family's company business Furino & Son's, Inc. "Brothers 4". In his spare time he enjoyed cars, his dogs and going out to various restaurants. Predeceased by his brothers John J. and George Michael Furino Survived by his loving wife of forty-six years Carol Mollico Furino; his brother Thomas Furino; sisters Margaret Smonig, Mary Primiano, Genevieve Del Duca and Helen Geisler; his sister-in-law Nannette Kogan. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ followed by a 12:30 p.m. Mass of Resurrection at Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
