Obituary of Elizabeth A. Vitale

Basking Ridge: Elizabeth A. Vitale, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2015 at her home in Basking Ridge. She was born in Pocahontas, WV and had lived in Baltimore, MD and Gillette, NJ before moving to Basking Ridge 20 years ago. Mrs. Vitale was a home maker. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church and a former Communicant of St. Vincent DePaul Church and was a Eucharistic Minister in both parishes. She also belonged to the Third Order of the Dominicans in Summit. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Vitale is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Anthony Vitale in 1991. Surviving are her children, Donna Marie Smith, Joseph Anthony Vitale, Jr., Michael Joseph Vitale, Annamarie Marino and Paul Andrew Vitale; her brother, Bobby Gwynn and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15th from 11 am to 1:30 pm followed by a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment will be at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Mount Church, 167 Mount Bethel Road, Warren, NJ 07059 or to the Third Order of the Dominicans, 543 Springfield Ave. Summit, NJ 07081.
