Obituary of Frances M. Luciano

Frances "Fran" (Caporaso) Luciano, age 97, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2015, at her sons home in Warren. Born in Summit, NJ where she had lived for over 50 years before moving to Toms River then Ortley Beach and most recently Warren. Prior to retiring Fran had worked for the Summit Board of Education for 30 years as a Secretary. Fran enjoyed reading, and was known for her many talents in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook, who never needed a recipe. She was a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Seaside Heights, NJ. Always one to have a kind word, she will be missed by many. Fran's greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband James, her son Nicholas and her sister Lee Bloss. Surviving are her son Patrick and his wife Carol and their two sons Patrick and Scott; her grandson James; a great-granddaughter and her niece Mary Frances Wyckoff. Pat and Carol would like to thank family and friends who helped care for Fran as well as the staff of the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills Adult Day Center and Hospice for their kindness and friendship with Fran. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 23rd from 5 to 9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, at 10:45 am at St. Teresa's of Avilia Church in Summit. Interment will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, 200 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
