Obituary of Florence M. Jairdullo

North Plainfield: Florence M. Jairdullo, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter Margaret at her side on Thursday, December 24, 2015. She was born and raised in Plainfield and had resided in North Plainfield the majority of her life. She was a past communicant of St. Luke’s RC Church in North Plainfield where she assisted with Bingo and was a member of their Leisure Club and Rosary Society. She was active in the community and helped care for family and friends. Florence was involved in the West End School PTA and was also a Homeroom Mother. Florence, also known as Flossie was an avid reader enjoying up to 5 books a week and loved cooking. She will most be remembered as a loving mother, wife and friend. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years Michael F. Jairdullo in 1998. Surviving her; are her son, Michael J. Jairdullo and his wife Jennifer reside in Smyrna, Georgia, two daughters, Carolyn Jairdullo and Margaret Jairdullo residing in North Plainfield and two grandchildren Michael residing in Las Vegas and Jordan residing in Orange County, California. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s RC Church in North Plainfield followed by a burial at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Somerset Hills or to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
