Obituary of Arlene Martha Luedecker

West Caldwell: Arlene Martha Luedecker, age 90, died on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her home in West Caldwell. She was born in St. Louis, MO and lived in Chatham before moving to Crane’s Mill in West Caldwell 16 years ago. Mrs. Luedecker was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Springfield. She enjoyed quilting and bird watching and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Luedecker is predeceased by her husband, Lester Luedecker in 2012 and her brother, Robert Nennert. Surviving are her sons, Stephen Luedecker and his wife, Judy of Detroit, and James Luedecker and his wife, Deb of Berkeley Heights; her grandchildren, Russell and his wife, Kirsten and Philip and his wife, Anna and her great-grandchildren, James, Avalon and Nino. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her loving memory to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF 26 Broadway, 14th Floor New York, NY 10004
