Obituary of Carole Nelson

Carole Notte Nelson, age 85, died on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was born in Newark and lived in Union for 50 years before moving to Millington 10 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was a book keeper for the Pediatric Surgical Group in Union for many years. Mrs. Nelson was a Communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Stirling. She began her day as everyone else's day ended. She loved her family and enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Disney World. She liked to shop especially on Q.V.C. Mrs. Nelson is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Frank Notte; her sister Josephine Martin and her grandson, Joseph Tremarco. Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Raymond Nelson; her sons, Raymond Nelson and his wife, Lisa of Millington and Robert Nelson and his wife, Susan of Toms River; her daughters, Debra Tremarco and her husband, Anthony of Millington and Jane Lloyd and her husband, John of Millington; her grandchildren, Anthony Tremarco and his wife, Cynthia, Ryan Tremarco, John and Michael Lloyd, and Tyler, Samantha, Matthew, Daniel and Jeremy Nelson. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Joseph and Valentina. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Stirling. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
