Obituary of Friederike Emma Juette

Friederike (Grabowski) Juette, age 96, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at her son's home in Watchung. Born and raised in Wanne-Eickel, Germany, she moved to the U.S. in 1950. Friederike lived in West, NY prior to moving to Dumont, NJ where she lived from 1954 through 2015, she most recently lived in Watchung with her son. Friederike was a member of the Dumont Senior Citizens and loved taking trips with the group to AC and playing bingo. In her spare time she enjoyed driving her 1980, Diesel Mercedes on her shopping trips which she took until she was 95. Friederike was a homemaker who liked gardening and spending time with her family. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Juette. Survived by her son Hans Juette and his wife Phyllis; her granddaughters Nancy and Cindy Juette. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday August 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A gathering will be held on Saturday, August 6th at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, Watchung. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery.
