Obituary of Charles Bartlett

Charles "Bubba" Bartlett Charles "Bubba" Bartlett was called to eternal rest on August 6, 2016. Charles was born on June 14, 1945 to Lillian and the late Charles H. Bartlett in Williamsburg, Virginia. He graduated from Westfield High School, Westfield, NJ and continued his education at Union County Tech. Charles retired from Piscataway Department of Public Works in February 2011 after many years of service. He took his fraternal oath to join the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks of the World in 1964. A member of Centennial Lodge # 440, Westfield, NJ where he served in many positions, up to Exalted Ruler, Member of Past Exalted Rulers' Council # 121, New Jersey State Association and the Grand Lodge Security Dept. Charles was a member and also served as President of the Homesteaders Club, Piscataway, NJ. He served as President of (FOP) Fraternal Order of Police Associate Lodge # 107. He is predeceased by his father, Charles H. Bartlett and his son Mark Williams. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Diane (DeeCee) Bartlett; his Mom, Lillian M. Bartlett; his sister, Damita Jo (Greg) Chamberlin; his children, Kelli (Conroy Sr.) Randolph, Marcie Williams,Cheryl (Michael) Pinckney; his step children, Pamela (Glenn) Moore, Keesha (Joe) Gipson-Monroe, Kristina Gipson, Kimberly (KimmieGee) Gipson and Roy Alexander Gipson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren , 10 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11th from 6 to 9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield and on Friday, August 12th from 10 to 11 am at the Rose of Sharon Church followed by an 11 am Funeral Service. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
