Obituary of Helen Ressa

Helen (Vico) Ressa, age 95, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at home in Bridgewater. Helen was born and raised in Plainfield, had lived in South Plainfield before moving to Bridgewater fifty years ago. Helen was a volunteer for the Martinsville Rescue Squad. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. She was predeceased by her husband James A. Ressa in 2003. Surviving is her son James Ressa and his wife Janet of Green Brook; her daughter Arleen Ressa-McDermott and her husband Richard of Whitehouse Station; two grandchildren Derek Ressa and his wife Katie and Keith Ressa; two great-grandchildren Matthew and Bethany and 10 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13th, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
