Obituary of Rose Marie Sanna

Rose Marie (Rizzo) Sanna, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Autumn Lake Healthcare in Berkley Heights. Born in Orange, she had resided in Millburn for 85 years before moving to Green Brook and then to Berkley Heights for the past three years. Before retiring in 1995, Rose was a bookkeeper with the Millburn Board of Education for many years. She was a member and volunteer of St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills. Rose was also a member of Life Lighters in Millburn and volunteered feeding the homeless in Morristown and Newark. For many years she bowled and played cards with her friends. Rose also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and watching football. She also traveled and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Frank Sanna in 2010 and her siblings Josephine, Ann, Tony, Nick, Fred, Joe, Frank. Survived by her daughters Carla Marano and her husband Frank and Lisa Rotolo and her husband Robert; grandchildren Justin Kaufman and wife Jenna, Gina Marano and Peter Marano and great-granddaughter Kalli Marano; and her brother Albert Rizzo. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 12:00PM – 4:00PM at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ.
