Obituary of Gloria Trabilsy

Gloria Trabilsy was born in North Bergen, NJ on May 17, 1930. She was a dedicated and loving wife, happily married for 63 years to her husband Albert, co-owner of the Plainfield Lace Store. Her pride and joy were her three children Albert, Carol and Jim, who could always bring an unforgettable smile to her face. She especially dedicated the last 32 years of her life to keeping her son, Jim, alive and well by personally giving him home kidney dialysis. Because of her sacrifice, he is one of the longest living home dialysis patients in the country. Gloria will be forever remembered for her smile, youthful appearance and outgoing personality. She lit up every room she entered and brought joy and happiness to everyone she met. She was a person of great faith and she is now resting in peace with God and her loved ones. She is predeceased by her parents Jamil and Alice Gorab, her sisters Joyce and Ida and her brother Raymond. She is survived by her husband Albert, sons Albert and Jim, daughter Carol Eichhorn, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February, 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Holy Cross, 40 Mercer Ave., North Plainfield, NJ 07060. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Donations can be made in her name to the Church of the Holy Cross.
