Obituary of Gordon John Harris

Gordon John Harris, age 48, died on Thursday September 27, 2012 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Gordon moved to Jamaica, NY in 1979. He graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1984 and NYU in 1985 with a Master's degree in computer science. After graduating he went on to work for Bell Labs. Gordon later started several successful companies with his business partner, Timothy Williams. Gordon loved racing, especially Formula One. He was a "foodie" and enjoyed dining at gourmet restaurants. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and family. He is predeceased by his mother, Arthurine Smith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Daniella; his sons; Brandon and Jason ; his father, Ancell Harris; his sisters, Elizabeth Brown and Alison Cunningham and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by the interment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
