Obituary of Kristen Diana Leary
Kristen Diana Leary, age 29, passed away much too soon on Monday, November 25, 2019. Born in Plainfield, she was a resident of North Plainfield until she moved to Perth Amboy four years ago.
Kristen was a graduate of Berkeley College, NJ in 2013 with a Business/Fashion Degree. She was employed as a photographer and manager for The RealReal luxury consignment store in Perth Amboy.
Kristen was fiercely independent. She was known for her outspoken personality, her bright smile, and her caring and giving nature. Her passion was fashion. She loved all aspects of it especially clothing, shoes and makeup. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her mother Diane Leary-Smagalla, her father Robert Leary, siblings Kimberley Leary, Jenna Smagalla, Scott Smagalla, Victoria Smagalla and Brooke Smagalla, grandfather Emil W. Habeeb and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019, from 4-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later time at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
