Obituary of Salvatore Pilo

Salvatore Pilo, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at home in Green Brook, NJ surrounded by those he loved. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Green Brook in 1983, where he has resided since. Salvatore attended Kingsboro Community College in Brooklyn and Baruch College in Manhattan, where he studied accounting. He worked as the comptroller for many years for the AG Ship Maintenance Company in Newark, NJ. Salvatore enjoyed a number of hobbies, including bowling, chess, cooking and traveling. He was also an avid fan of the television shows Law & Order and The Price is Right. Salvatore was a member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church. He is Survived by his wife of 37 years, JoAnn, his daughter Amanda (Ahmad), and his son Michael. Also surviving him are his sisters, Maria Bryceland and Roseann Silecchia; mother-in-law Josie Attianese; Brother-in-law Michael Attianese and his wife Barbara Jane; 7 nieces and nephews: Michael (Jamie), Lisa (Chris), Chrissy (Kenny), Suzie (Mike), Michele, Bobby (Amelia), Christian (Nicole); 13 grandnieces and nephews: Anthony, Tyler, Maddie, KJ, Gabriella, Mikey, Ava, Mya, Max, Valentina, Gaven, Ellana and Avery; and his beloved pets Zoe and Bently. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Salvatore's honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please do not purchase flowers.
