Obituary of Norma Edith Schultz

Norma, 86, (nee Smith) entered into Eternal Rest onSaturday, April 5,2014. Norma was originally a long-time Resident ofScotch Plains, and for the last 20+ years, a Resident of Warren, NJ. She was Born in Providence, Rhode Island, predeceased by her parents, Matilda (Chiaverini) and John Charles Smith. She is predeceased by her loving Husband, William Clifford Schultz. William died onFebruary 1, 1972, in a shipping explosion at sea, off the coast of Galveston,Texas, in 1972. Norma was raised in Beechhurst, Long Island, graduated fromSt Joseph's Elementary School and BaysideHigh School. Norma was a Physical Education & Science Major, at New YorkUniversity. Norma enjoyed being with her Family always, above all else. Many celebrations through the years, many happy events, she will be so missed by so many as such a kind and giving person, her whole life. Norma always wanted to have her family stay close together, and close by, and all of her immediate family, live inNew Jersey. This large, beautiful family is Her Legacy. She married WilliamAugust 16, 1948, and is survived by EIGHT Children and SEVENTEEN Grandchildren. Her children, including two sets of twins, are: William John Schultz, his wife Sylvia, Virginia Rea, her husband Frank, Patricia Carroll, her husband, Richard, Dorothy DePierro, her husband, Nicholas, John Charles Schultz, his wife, Monica, Michael Kennedy Schultz, Thomas Clifford Schultz and her youngest, Norma Marie LoConte, and her husband, Nicholas. Her wonderful 17 Grandchildren are: William Schultz, Laura Schultz, Daniel Schultz Lyndsey Schultz, Jacquelyn DePierro, Madison DePierro, Katrina Carroll, Patrick Carroll, Christopher Schultz, Daniela Schultz, Michael Schultz, Joseph Schultz, Thomas Jon (TJ) Schultz, Gabrielle Schultz, Sara Schultz, Nicholas LoConte and, the youngest, Noelle Norma LoConte. Visitation will be held at Higgins Funeral Home in Watchung, on Tuesday, April 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and a Mass of the Resurrection to be held at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, on Wednesday, April 9th, at 10:30 a.m. in Warren. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains,NJ, immediately following Mass services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her loving memory to the NephCure Foundation,15 Waterloo Ave.,Berwyn PA19312
