Obituary of Alma Gladys Vidito

Alma Gladys (Mansfield) Vidito, age 89, died on Monday July 30, 2012 at N.J. Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater. Born in Winchester, MA she resided in Massachusetts most of her life before moving to Bridgewater a few years ago. Alma had a sharp sense of humor and enjoyed piano, crocheting, gardening with her late husband and spending time with her family. She sang professionally as a young woman and continued to entertain relatives and friends throughout her life including, other residents at the Eastern Star Home. She contributed her talents to the Sweet Adeline's and the Handel & Haydn Society in Boston, MA. Predeceased by her husband Francis E. Vidito in 1997. Surviving is her son Francis A. Vidito and his wife Terry; her brother Arthur Mansfield; and her two grandchildren Chris and Jeanne. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung and on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at the Douglass, Edgerley & Besson Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St., Reading, MA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Old South Methodist Church, Reading, MA. Interment will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading, MA.
