Obituary of Robert Salerno

Robert Salerno, age 56, died on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at his home in Martinsville surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Bronx, he lived on Long Island before moving to Albuquerque, NM then to Cincinnati, OH before settling in Martinsville fifteen years ago. Robert graduated cum laude from Hofstra University in 1979, with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He then went on to receive his MBA in 1984, from Fairleigh Dickinson. He started his lifelong career with Johnson & Johnson immediately after graduating from college; he had various positions throughout his extensive time with the company and his last position was as a Corporate Vice President of Global Supply Chain. Robert was a member of Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville. An avid fan of the NY Yankees, Cincinnati Reds and the NY Giants. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Surviving is his loving wife of thirty-four years Janice (Rockey) Salerno; his son Michael Salerno and his daughter Kristin Salerno and her fiance Jeff Kuchinsky; his parents Vincent and Nancy Salerno; his brothers Richard Salerno and his wife Alicia and Ronald Salerno and his wife Lindy; nephews Ronald and Bryan and nieces Kelly, Katelin, Kimberly, Maria, Theresa and Jaclyn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, Martinsville. A private cremation will be held at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
