Obituary of Louis J. Sloboda

Louis J. Sloboda, age 83, passed away on Thursday July 17, 2014 at his home in Warren with his wife by his side. Born in and raised in Hillside NJ Mr. Sloboda had resided in Warren for the past forty years. Prior to his retirement in 1991 Mr. Sloboda worked as a plumber for the Plumber's Local 24 in Trenton for many years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and had been a member of the American Legion Post 293 in Warren and the DAV and the VFW. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Sloboda; a brother Robert Sloboda and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday July 21, 2014 at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, 167 Mt. Bethel Rd. Warren NJ from 10:00am to 10:45 followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:45am. The entombment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
