Aunt Carmella, I thought of you again today. Remembering the times together in Woodside was pleasant but also sad since they are no more. Love, Theresa

Every pic in your video made me smile. Aunt Carmella was a beauty! What a smile! I believe she is the spitting image of the older Italians in a few of the pics. Don't want to assume it's her mother or grandmother, but, like a xerox.
Ty for taking the time to make this. 98!! Sense of style, the smile that greeted you every time with love, and a smart woman, boy, it will take a long time before aunt Carmella has any competition! I will miss you, aunt Carmella, 1 of the few who didn't show any signs of "where's the shut off switch?" When I talked to her.

To the Licetti family: Aunt Carmela's niece, Patricia, often spoke about her to her violin students and incorporated her stories into her lessons. We will miss her and will remember her with affection. May you all find peace in your memories of her.

Dear sister, I miss you already even though you have been gone only a few days. While I miss you, I know you are in heaven and that Momma, Poppa, and Poppa Joe have all welcomed you home. Lena, Connie, Josie, Joey, too are hugging you. And so are Cathy and her son Michael. No more pain, no more fear, only the love of God and those in our family who have gone before and set your eternal table. I think of our times together especially in San Remo. Ask Joey if he remembers the time the three of us rode two bikes to Huntington. While I remember many of the things we did together, that was one of the best especially thinking how hard it must have been on Joey always having one of us on his handlebars. And Poppa looking for us. I write this somewhat frustrated at how little words can truly describe how I feel. Your departure has hit me harder than I would have imagined. Yet, I know you are in a better place and that one day I will join you, my daughter, grandson and the others.

Margaret put together a great video of pictures of Carmela, her family and business associates. It includes pictures from her early childhood to her 98 Birthday party just a few weeks ago. Everyone should watch it.

Dear Aunt Carmela,
I will miss visiting you, sharing Cannolis, Ice Cream, Chocolate, perusing Facebook, reminiscing, watching Seinfeld and going for walks….. I will miss most your wise, kind and encouraging words, like “ You never know what tomorrow holds, Anything can happen”, “Have Faith”, ……
A few weeks ago, When I said you were our hero and gave us all hope we could live as long. You replied “You will! You will live longer!!” In that most confident, assertive tone that we all knew you for.
I can hear you saying “Quel che sara sara”, Italian for “whatever will be, will be”.
I could go on forever, so many good memories, thank you for being my Godmother and all the nice things you said and did over the years, the beautiful things you brought back to me from your many travels. You were an angel on earth that’s gone home to the heavens. I was blessed to know you. Take care of my sweet nephew Michael whom you loved as much. You will be missed and loved and remembered forever. Till we meet again, fly high and watch over us.
Your loving niece and goddaughter,
Margaret

I was a neighbor of the Licetti's for over 50+ years. When aunt Carmella came to visit, she never made me feel as if I never had anything important to say. (I was, still am, a chatterbox.) She loved music and her family. She is missed dearly but my memories will last a long time Dio amore a tiu, Zia Carmella e io amore a tiu, siempere. God loves you, aunt Carmella and I love you, always.

I will always remember going downstairs to visit Aunt Carmella when we lived in Woodsidei loved those visits. Aunt Carmella loved all her nieces and nephews and enjoyed sering them. She worried snout all of us and always gave us a holy card or scapula or similar religious things to protect us.

I will miss you very much Aunt Carmela. I hope you are now at peace and happily sharing a laugh with Grandma, Grandpa and all your siblings that have gone before you. I hope you have some time to brush up on your Italian speaking skills before seeing Grandma, Grandpa and Papa Joe.
Your loving nephew Philip.

Aunt Carmela,
We will miss you dearly, I will always cherish memories of our time together, spending time with you in Woodside as a child, our outings in New York City, and our weekly calls after I had my family. You spent your lifetime loving, caring for and trying to help everyone. Though you are deeply missed I am grateful that you are now in heaven and can spend eternity with Jesus and our loved ones who arrived before you.
Love Always, Mary
