Obituary of Concetta Fus

Concetta Fus, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her home. Born in Scotch Plains, she has resided in Martinsville for 45 years. Mrs. Fus worked as a cost accountant for Weston Electrical Instruments in Newark for over 20 years. Concetta was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. She participated in many fundraisers and clothing drives. Concetta was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Rosary Makers, providing rosaries to the needy around the world. She also volunteered at the local chapter of FISH, and local soup kitchens. She also knitted hats and blankets for premature babies and unwed mothers. Concetta loved gardening in her vegetable and floral gardens. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John T. Fus in 2006 and her brother, Felice Iarussi in 2011, and her parents, Mauro and Rosina Iarussi. She will truly be missed by her son, John Fus of Martinsville; her brother, Mauro Iarussi and his wife, Ann; her sisters, Islanda DePaolo, Josephine McGall; sister-in-law, Rose Iarussi; and dozens of loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Blessed Sacrament Church, Martinsville. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
