Maureen had the biggest smile and warmest heart. Her devotion to her family was complete and matchless, while her upbeat personality and positive outlook won her praise by all who knew her.
How we treasured the hospitality she, Rich, and Gail offered at the Barnegat house. The hearty welcome we received, the views out the windows, the deer in the backyard, and the large, warm kitchen made that home a super spot to visit. While visiting, we always enjoyed listening to stories about Rich and Mo’s travels to so many exciting places and the adventures they had along the way. What exciting trips they shared.
Irish heritage was a major part of Maureen’s life. Brian loved hearing about the Irish relatives and their traditions, while Carolyn was so inspired by Mo’s stories that she set out to learn more about the history of Ireland. Happily, Maureen found, as did the rest of her family, many ways to demonstrate enthusiasm for Irish traditions, including bringing a Northern Irish boy over to spend the summer with them.
How we will miss Maureen. She was a unique, generous, loving, and truly special sister and sister-in-law.
