Obituary of Eleanor A. Gilbert

Eleanor A. (Adler) Gilbert, age 96, died on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of New York City and enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. Predeceased by her husband George Gilbert in 2006 and her granddaughter Emily Gilbert in 1995. Surviving are her sons Mark and his wife Jean and Robert and his wife Cathy; three grandchildren Paul, Sarah and Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ, followed by interment at Mt. Eden Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
