Obituary of Dominic Perone

Dominic "Dick" Perone, died October 8, 2014. Born in South Plainfield he was a lifelong resident of North Plainfield, NJ. He graduated from North Plainfield High School and served as a Marine during the Korean War. Mr. Perone was the owner/operator of Richard's Auto Body Shop also located in North Plainfeld. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in North Plainfield as well as St. Anthony of Padua Oratory in West Orange, NJ. Mr. Perone was predeceased by his parents Peter and Mildred Perone, and his beloved wife, Marie R. Perone (nee Flanagan). Surviving are his sons: Richard (Stacey), PA, Peter ( Karen), NJ, Michael, NJ, John, NJ, and James (Melissa), NJ; daughters; Lorraine (Charles) Chidester, PA Mary Perone, NJ and Anne Marie Perone, NJ. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Patrick and Monica Perone; Collin, MaryCatherine, Elizabeth and Andrew Chidester. A Requiem Mass will be held Saturday 10:30 am, at St. Anthony of Padua Oratory in West Orange, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Stoney Hill Cemetery, Watchung. In lieu of flowers the family asks for Masses to be said for the repose of the soul of Dominic Perone. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals.
