Obituary of Joseph F. Creighton

Joseph F. Creighton, age 87, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Robert Wood Hospital at Somerville. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and had lived in Abington and Short Hills before moving to Martinsville 45 years ago. Mr. Creighton served in the United States Army as a Staff Sargent during World War II. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1951 with a Business Degree. Prior to his retirement, he was a Research Technician for Frederick Atkins in New York City. Mr. Creighton was a former member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Jenkintown, PA where he served as a Deacon. He was an avid gardener and golfer and loved sports. He was also a High School Track and Field official. Mr. Creighton is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Eleanor James Creighton. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
