Obituary of Edna R. Hough

Edna R. Hough, age 76, passed away on Friday January 23, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in High Point North Carolina to the late Julius Rogers and Lucy Cruse Rogers; Mrs. Hough had resided in Newark, NJ before moving to Plainfield, NJ in 1971. Mrs. Hough had attended Hampton Institute in Hampton VA and had later went to nursing school at Brooklyn State College. Mrs. Hough began her career as a registered nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to her retirement in 1998 Mrs. Hough had worked as a RN at Irvington General Hospital in Irvington NJ. Mrs. Hough was an avid reader she especially loved reading the daily newspaper, on the weekend it was not uncommon for her to read three entire papers. Another passion of Mrs. Hough was seeing Broadway Shows. Two sisters predeceased her; Shirley R. Archie and Claretta R. Carter She is survived by her loving husband Elester Hough; a son Ryan Hough; beloved daughter Lesley Piccoli and her husband Martin; a sister Julia "Judy" Leach. She is also survived by a cherished grandson Matthew Ryan Piccoli and a host of loving family and friends.
