Obituary of Freze Jacobson

Freze Ruth (Meltzer) Jacobson, age 98, died on Saturday, February 14th, 2015, at her home in Monroe Twp., at Monroe Village. Born in Newark, she also lived in Irvington, then Plainfield for forty years before moving to Monroe fifteen years ago. Freze served as a nurse's aide at Fort Monmouth during World War II. Prior to retiring she had worked for many years as a legal secretary and had also worked with her husband in his business, Plainfield Roofing. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and volunteered at Muhlenberg Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1998 and her siblings Elsie Meltzer, Belle Halper, Nady Meltzer and Sunny Meltzer. Surviving is her daughter Loren Asch and her husband Jeff; her grandchildren Jordan and Alana; her niece Lois Taback and many other nieces and nephews. A Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. Interment will follow at Hebrew Cemetery, South Plainfield.
