Obituary of Ireneusz Imiolek

Ireneusz Jan Imiolek, died on Saturday, February 21, 2015, after battling Leukemia. Born on May 29th, 1935 in Marianow, Poland to his late parents Wladyslow and Marianna (Krol) Imiolek. At the age of five he and his family were displaced by World War II and lived in refugee camps in Siberia, Rhodesia and Tanzania before relocating to England and finally the United States in 1952. Ireneusz retired in 2004, after a long career working as a product designer for several companies including Remco, Conair, Aurora, Knickerbocker, Tyco Toys and Therics. He was an avid gardner, chess player and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren and Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Irvington. Surviving is his loving wife Krystyna; his son Andrzej and his wife Lauren; his daughter Anna; granddaughter Katherine; his three siblings Stephania, Danuta and Henry; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 537 Grove St., Irvington. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 537 Grove St., Irvington, NJ 07111.
