Obituary of Andrew Napolitano
Andrew Napolitano "Nappy", 90, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Andrew was born in North Plainfield, NJ and a raised a beautiful family in South Plainfield and Bricktown, New Jersey, before retiring to Venice, Florida with his wife, Anita Napolitano, in 1998.
Over the years, he captured the hearts of many with his quick wit, love of people and charming good looks. He served as a private in a medical unit in General George Patton's 3rd Army, took part in the "Battle of the Bulge" and the Hurtgen Forest Campaign, two of the worst battles on the Western Front. Recipient of the Bronze Star, he served in the 95th medical gas treatment battalion.
Andrew is predeceased by his wife Anita Napolitano.
Surviving is his sister Mary DiCanto, and his loving daughters, Lisa, Donna and Cecilia; and three grandchildren Frank, Carson and Andrew, along with many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the interment at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
