Obituary of Teresa M. Freeman

Teresa M. Freeman, age 100, of North Plainfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Green Knoll Nursing Facility in Bridgewater. Teresa was born in Brooklyn NY on October 16, 1914, the daughter of Michael and Bridget (Dunn) McCaffrey. Teresa married James F. Freeman on January 20, 1947, and moved to Plainfield, NJ before moving to North Plainfield in 1953. Teresa was very active in St. Luke's Church with the Altar Rosary Society. Teresa was a loving caregiver to her mother when she was at the young age of 18, and then for her father and husband and several of her cousins. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of forty-six years James F. Freeman and her sisters Mary Willett and Katherine English and her brother Philip McCaffrey. Surviving is her son James P. Freeman of Basking Ridge, her daughter Mary Bowers of Bluffton, SC and her sister Sarah Daly of Brooklyn, NY; many nieces and nephews throughout the country. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides of Green Knoll Nursing Facility in Bridgewater for their excellent and loving care. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke's RC Church in North Plainfield, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
