I went to nursing school with Debbie and tried to maintain a friendship afterward, but it didn't last. Then, 30 years later in 2009, she popped in to a solo art show of mine, that was advertised locally and I immediately knew her. After that we had coffee together at my house and she gave me The Artist's Way book. SO sorry for your loss, she was a great person with a bubbly personality.

Oh My Aunty,
I'm at a loss for words. My tears are still flowing and my heart still aches. When my Mom passed away 11 years ago you told me we would get through it together..and we did. You were a sense of strength, comfort and laughter. Now I find myself walking the same path but feeling so alone. I feel as though the other half of my heart has been ripped out for the two most beautiful women in my life now sit in Heaven together without me. I pray that I was as much of a blessing in your life as you were in mine. Thank you, Debbie, for all that you have instilled in me and for the countless times of lending an ear, a shoulder and an embrace. You are truly the best "sister" a girl could ever have. I love you so much and will miss you tremendously. Receive all the blessings the Lord has for. (I wonder if you and Mom have the same sized mansion up in Heaven.) Give her a hug for me and save me a spot in between the two of you. I will see you again one day. With love and adoration Your niece, sister, and friend...Dawn

I've been friend with Debbie for over 40 years. We worked at Buxton's, spent the summer of '73 in Wildwood, she was in my wedding, she's why I love Diners. Debbie was the sweetest, kindest, most loving person who would do anything for you. I've never heard her say a mean thing about anyone. We are better for knowing her and the world is a better place for her having been in it. As we miss her and mourn her, remember, heaven is a brighter place now with her there.

Dear Aunt Debbie,
It's been a great experience having you as my godmother we would do so many things together. We would paint, clean, talk, and laugh about my one and only boyfriend Pistachio. I really appreciate all the great things you and Uncle Bob did for me. Let the Lord appreciate and guide you through heaven. I love you.

You gave me times that I so loved. I never knew you were not just my aunt but my great aunt until the day before I came to visit you. You were amazing, you did so much to help and support us...you took us to the park, you did arts and crafts, took us to eat and much more. You married the best man that was the love of your dreams. Then we had our secret times when the girls didn't know and went to the restaurant and got those chicken tenders...haha. Enjoy heaven the place to relax with no pain and nothing to fear. I will miss you! :)
Love,
Your one and only Nicole <3

Dear Aunt Debbie,
I will miss you very much and one day see you again through our Lord Jesus Christ. Our memories together will last my lifetime. I will never forget when I was little and you would play the guitar and sing God's praises over me. Looking back, you have planted a seed that has flourished into the man I am today. The times we hung out at your house, and when you first met Bob and would share your excitement and poems with me as you were falling in love. When uncle Bob packed away the tools when we were moving and how we all laughed. Tending Church services at times together or when you shared your dreams with me. You have always loved the Lord and in my hay day of trouble you were my angel at some of my worst times in my life that many never knew about. I am grateful for all your love, compassion, and laughter. Forever in His love, your nephew Ron
