Obituary of Zuleide Rodrigues

Zuleide (Dos Santos) Rodrigues, age 89, died on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Berkeley Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Para, Brazil, she came to the United States at the age of 5, settling in Newark. Once married, she lived in Irvington before moving to Manalapan when retiring. She retired after 40 years as an Administrative Assistant with Continental Can Company in North Bergen. Sue, as she was known by family and friends, belonged to "Covered Bridge" a Seniors Group. She enjoyed taking bus trips as well as spoiling her nieces, nephews and dogs. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio Rodrigues in 2006, brother Fernando Dos Santos and sisters Lydia Oliveira and Maria Esteves. Surviving is her sister Celeste Caetano of Belleville and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's RC Church in Belleville, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
