Obituary of Caroline M. Orrico Russo

Caroline M. Orrico Russo, age 98, died on Wednesday, August 01, 2012 at King James Care Center of Chatham. She was born and raised in Mendham and had lived in West Orange and Fanwood before moving to Chatham. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she was the owner of Berkeley Liquors for 20 years. Mrs. Russo was a member of the North Plainfield Senior Citizens and the Traveling Seniors in Warren and a Communicant of St. Joseph's Church in North Plainfield. She is predeceased by her first husband, Charles Orrico in 1966 and her second husband, Lawrence Russo in 1979: her brother, Salvatore Diso and her sisters, Victoria San Filipo, Madeline Pascazio, Rose Spencer and Annette Costello. Surviving are her son, Charles Orrico and his wife Nancy of Chatham; her grandchildren, Shelly Zanowicz and her husband, Robert and Robert Orrico and her great grandson, Luke Zanowicz. Funeral services will begin on Monday, August 6th at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church in North Plainfield. Interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 7pm.
