Obituary of Jean H. Bojum

Jean H. Bojum, 79, of Boynton Beach, Florida, after a long fight with cancer, peacefully departed this life at home on November 18, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born in NYC and raised in the Bronx, she resided in Jersey City, Dunellen and Watchung, New Jersey before retiring to Florida in 1998. Jean was predeceased by her parents Meier and Goldie Forman. She married her childhood sweetheart Theodore J. Bojum and they had 58 wonderful years together until his passing in 2010. Prior to retiring, she worked with her beloved husband as his secretary and all round Gal Friday in their real estate and insurance brokerage firm in North Plainfield, NJ. They were truly together and devoted to each other 24/7. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was known affectionately as "Nana" to her family. She enjoyed traveling, baking, being with her family, going to a casino and confirming that it was 5 o'clock somewhere. She was very interested in the ongoing educational pursuits and hobbies of her younger granddaughters and took an extreme interest in horses when her eldest granddaughter became owner of a riding stable. She is survived by her beloved: son, Frederick A. Bojum; daughter in law, Marilyn L. Bojum; daughter, Samara D. Luckey; son in law, David S. Luckey; granddaughters, Brittani M. Bojum, Sarah A. Luckey, Cassidy I. Luckey, Amanda R. Luckey and her extended family, Roseanne and Philip Sohn and Agnes and Robert Longo and their children, Vincent Longo and Erika Longo; plus many friends in both FL and NJ, including a recent and much beloved friend, Carol Shanley. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012, 10:00 A.M. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield, New Jersey followed by burial at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ. Donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors or any organization in support of the State of Israel would be deeply appreciated.
