Obituary of Alvin Leon Kimbrough, Sr.

Alvin Leon Kimbrough, Sr. Plainfield: Alvin Leon Kimbrough, Sr. age 73 died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 after a long battle with illness. Alvin Sr. is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 47 years, Mildred Kimbrough; his son, Alvin Leon Kimbrough Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Plainfield and Christopher Leon Kimbrough of Plainfield; his daughters, Arthurlea Benita Parham and her husband, David of Randallstown, MD and Kim Levater Kimbrough of Plainfield. He is also survived by his brothers, Rudolph Kimbrough and Tonny Kimbrough and his sister, Mary Kimbrough. He was the beloved grandfather of Tiandra Raven Kimbrough and Kylah Monae Kimbrough. He leaves an uncle, Herbert Hollings of Mobile, Alabama and cousin Barbara Jean Austin of New York City. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ and Wednesday from 10- 11 am at Calvary Baptist Church 322-324 Monroe Ave. Plainfield followed by an 11:00 am funeral service.
