Obituary of Helen Eleanor Stofik

Helen Eleanor (Ceselsky) Stofik, age 91, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Green Knoll Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater. Born in New York City, she grew up in Port Griffith, PA, then resided in Union most of her adult life, before moving to Bridgewater recently. Helen was an active member of St. James RC Church in Springfield. Predeceased by her husband John Joseph Stofik in 1983. Surviving are her three children, three grandchildren, her two sisters and a brother. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 13th at 9:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at St. James RC Church, Springfield. Interment will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in her name can be made to the charity of your choice.
