Obituary of Christopher R. Bedi

Christopher R. Bedi, 36, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012.Chris was born in Plainfield, grew up in Warren and currently resided in Bridgewater. Chris attended Valley Forge Military Academy and graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School in 1994.He then graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, and Seton Hall University of Law in Newark in 2005 with a Juris Doctorate degree. He was an intern with King World Productions and CBS television both in NYC.From January to May of 2003 Chris was a judicial intern for the Honorable Peter F. Boggia, J.S.C., Hackensack; from January 2004 to July 2008 he was a law clerk/associate for Robert J. DeGroot, Esq., Newark; from August 2008 to April 2010 he was an associate for Hayt, Hayt & Landau, LLC, Eatontown; from July 2010 to May 2011 he was an associate for Garces & Grabler, P.C., Newark. In January 2012, Chris established his own firm, Law Offices of Christopher R. Bedi in Bridgewater. Chris was a member of the NJ Bar Association, Third Circuit. He currently was a member of the Woodside Chapel of Westfield and previously was an active member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church, leading Bible studies and participating in the Homeless Ministry, Family Promise of Morris County. He enjoyed golf, sporting events and fantasy football. In addition, he was a very talented musician and song writer and played guitar. A very kind soul, he was loved by so many. Chris is survived by his mother, Patricia Bedi; his sister, Sarah Bedi of Columbia, SC; his brother, Jonathan and his wife, Kacey and his two nephews, Aydin and Ethan, all of Springfield, NJ and two uncles, Brian Morkavich of Bridgewater and John Morkavich of Texarkana, AK. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 8:30 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a 10 am Mass of Resurrection at St. Bernard's of Clairvaux Church in Bridgewater. Cremation private. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Donations in his memory to Family Promise of Morris County, P.O. Box 1494, Morristown, NJ07962 would be deeply appreciated.
