Trudy
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
Although I had only met you and Pete a short time ago, I felt the same connection I had when I met Marty for the first time. Wayne and I enjoyed listening to his stories and we will miss him.

We know for certain that we never lose the people we love, and we find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. I will always cherish the beautiful and ''fun'' memories given to me by Pete ... after all, he taught me to square dance, didn't he? Carol

I am so deeply saddened about the death of my Uncle Pete. I have tremendous memories of him playing the guitar and the banjo at our many fun family get-togethers. Memories that seem like only yesterday! His laugh always made me laugh right along with him. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Piccirillo Family, and friends. I would hope holding on to all of your own memories with Pete will bring comfort and peace, knowing he is now with Our Lord. -

I have been a close friend and musician friend of Pete for many years. Looking at the calendar, these many years make up exactly half of my life. For most of those many years, Pete was my guitar mentor. For the last few years, roles reversed and I was showing him chords and new ways to play old songs. Isn't this the true goal of all true mentors?
During this later period of time, I learned three old songs in melody-bass-chord style that Pete said were among his favorite-of-all-time songs. These were (are) "My Funny Valentine", "Love Story (theme)", and "Christmas Time is Here" as heard on the Charlie Brown Christmas special each year. To prove we were close friends, yes, we had arguments every now and then, mostly musical but some personal. But we always made up. That's What Friends Are For. I will miss him dearly.
