To the DiGiacomo Family, Yesterday I was saddened and surprised to learn of Augie's passing. Even though I left JB&B more than 20 years ago Augie was someone you just don't forget. Augie was a great engineer, businessman, partner but more importantly a great friend. We started at JB&B together and worked on all the same projects from the Bechtel buildings to Broadgate and the World Trade Center. There was no one in the construction industry who was more respected for his knowledge, thoughtfulness, wit and ability to yell at you if you made a mistake but still make you feel that you learned something from the mistake. He was demanding but demanded no more than he demanded from himself. If you worked with Augie you knew you were going to work hard but that you were going to learn! More importantly, you knew that as his friend he would always be there for you. Alice and I always treasured our times together with Augie and Doreen and wish that we could have been even closer. We are going to miss our friend and colleague and offer our sincerest condolences to Doreen, Lisa and Susan and the entire family. Rest in peace, big guy!
